Technology is the fastest growing industry in the world, creating the most amount of jobs; but yet, the black community only represents 2.6% of the Canadian tech ecosystem. Rising Starlooks to change that from the ground up. The Rising Star program is a free, virtual 6-month program for black high school students in Grade 10-11. Students who are accepted into the program will gain practical tech skills, access to mentors, and build their network within technology by engaging with the Rising Star ecosystem.

These skills and opportunities can be leveraged to strengthen post-secondary applications and provide career development opportunities in technology. Each month, students will participate in a highly engaging workshop, and gain access to the Rising Star platform to further their learning.

OPEN ONLY TO BLACK STUDENTS IN CANADA, AGES 15-18

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
